Al Herrera for Constable

Deputy Constable Al Herrera is a 16 year law enforcement veteran who currently holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate. Initially in 1995, he joined the Elgin Police Department where he began his career in law enforcement. In 1996, he took a deputy Constable position with the Travis County Precinct 4 Constable’s office where he was later promoted to Corporal. In 2002, he took a deputy Constable position with the Travis County Precinct 2 Constable’s office for 9 years where he went on to become Sergeant. Currently he is employed with the Williamson County Precinct 4 Constable’s office.

In addition to his Advanced Peace Officer Certificate, Al is a certified Field Training and Mental Health Officer and holds a Civil Proficiency certification. He has participated in multiple Warrant Round-ups in Travis and surrounding counties.

Al has received the following awards in his career:
Life Saving, Meritorious Conduct, Safe Driving, Injured in the Line of Duty, Patriot, Warrant Deputy of the Year for 2 consecutive years, and Unit Citations for team effort under high-risk conditions in support of multiple law enforcement efforts. He also received a Wall of Honor award for Turn Around Elgin, for his dedication on the War on Drugs.
